We love taking romantic trips down to the keys. If we have a long weekend we will drive all the way down to Key West, but if we are short on time we love Key Largo and some of the others.

There are so many places to explore in the Keys, that I feel like we will never get bored with them. And we are always discovering new places everytime we go.

1. Key West

Some of the purest seas in the Gulf of Mexico may be found at Key West, the famous “Southernmost Point” of the United States, which is one of the must-do things for couples in Key West.

Mallory Square is the perfect place to watch the sunset, Dry Tortugas National Park is a must-see, and Ernest Hemingway’s home may be explored.

Duval Street in Key West’s Old Town is a tourist hotspot known for its assortment of bars, eateries, galleries, and boutiques.

When is the best time to visit the Florida Keys for a romantic getaway?

Mid-December through April is the busiest time of year for visitors to the Florida Keys. As many tourists are trying to escape winter. While in June – August you will see fewer sightseers but higher temperatures.

You can normally save some money if you decide to travel during the summer months during hurricane season.

The months of April through June and November through the middle of December provide the best of both worlds: fewer tourists and a lower risk of hurricanes.

  1. The most kid friendly place in key west for 10-17 year old boys fishing and sunset dinner cruises. Of cours beautiful beach or activities for kids. Christmas time before or after Christmas. I need to know but Iโ€™m December !
